Biography
Ph.D., Harvard University. She is an executive committee member of the Russian and East European Center. Her major research interests are former Soviet/East European domestic and international politics. Currently researching problems of nationalism, and postcommunist transitions. She is the author of National Conflict in Czechoslovakia (Princeton University Press, 1988). She teaches courses on government and politics of the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe.
