Biography
Faisal Saeed Cheema is an officer in the Civil Services of Pakistan. In 2001, he completed an M.Phil. degree with specialization in South Asian arms control in defence and strategic studies from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan. Prior to that he recevied his M.Sc. degree in defence and strategic studies with specialization in South Asian security from Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad, and his B.A. in humanities from Government College, Lahore, Pakistan. Cheema has written many articles on South Asian security in various national newspapers of Pakistan. He worked as a research officer at the Islamabad Policy Resesarch Institute, where he published articles on "Forms of Terrorism," and "State Terrorism in Kashmir."
Cheema conducted research and wrote an ACDIS Occasional Paper on "Macroeconomic Stability of Pakistan: The Role of the IMF and World Bank (1997-2003)," while he was associated with the ACDIS program as a Ford Fellow in 2003.
