ACDIS to Host Arctic Security Symposium

The Program in Arms Control, Disarmament, and International Security (ACDIS), together with the European Union Center and Russian, East European, and Eurasian Center at the University of Illinois, will host a symposium on November 5, 2009, titled "Global Security, Climate Change, and the Arctic: Implications of an Open Northwest Passage." The symposium will provide scientific background and consider the geopolitical implications of climate change and the opening of the Northwest Passage.
