Facilitating and actively promoting the study of security issues by students at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign features as a fundamental aspect of the overall ACDIS mission.

ACDIS impacts students’ educational and professional development by:

• Administering the Undergraduate Certificate in Global Security.
• Providing grants and scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students for research, travel, and internship activities related to international security.
• Supporting graduate student research.
• Providing publication outlets and presentation opportunities for student research.
• Organizing lectures, summer workshops, and professional development events tailored for students.
• Supporting undergraduate groups such as the ACDIS Security Studies Group and the Illini Journal of International Security.
• Offering academic and career advising for students in the Certificate in Global Security, ACDIS Security Studies Group, or the Illini Journal of International Security.
